Does Bachmann offer coloured braces?
The simple answer is no. We have found that the coloured bands (elastics) can harm the teeth so we do not offer them. Neither our SPEED or DAMON systems use elastics at all. The SPEED system uses spring-clips to straighten teeth. Damon Clear uses a unique clear bracket, no elastics and modern technology to move teeth faster and more comfortably for our patients.

We understand why children may want coloured braces. They can be a statement of individuality or style. However, our focus is on the best oral health outcomes. As a result, we do not endorse the use of coloured elastics. Where children want or ask for coloured braces, we work hard to help both the child and parent understand the risks of using coloured elastics. SPEED System
SPEED Braces are very tiny dental correction appliances that are typically 1/3 smaller than standard braces. SPEED’s reduced size minimizes discomfort – especially to the internal surface of the lips.
SPEED Braces completely eliminate the elastics that regular braces require to straighten teeth. This minimises pressure on the tooth, and reduces friction. This allows teeth to move with less resistance. The results in more comfortable and efficient correction of the teeth.
DAMON System
The Damon System combines tieless braces with special archwires that are clinically proven to move teeth quickly and comfortably with exceptional dental outcomes.
